Andy Cookson, one of my coworkers, who passed away suddenly last Friday...

So it's annual training and all that jazz. I'm taking pictures every now and then and uploading them from my phone. It's totally cool, cause I can take a picture from my phone, email it to flickr, and it gets added to my photo stream.

Let's see, yesterday I qualified on the M9, the claymore, and proved that I could throw a grenade. Yeup, we had a class on throwing grenades. Basically, you pull the pin, chuck it, and get the hell out of the way. I don't think they even issue medevac persons grenades. I hope not. don't wanna carry those around.

Monday morning, one of my incident responders (Larry 1H81) responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a deer. After the investigation, it was determined that the deer's BAH was above the legal limit to cross the road:

Someone nudged me, so I'm updating. I'm in virginia at fort eustis going to blackhawk mechanic school. They have me on the night shift here, so I'm just going into class now.

Moved out to west salem earlier this year, and Katrina is living in my place while I'm gone. She's planning on staying when I get back. :)

So, we're driving back into town and I get a text message from Katrina who'd watched Abigail for me while I was in a meeting...

"So did you teach Abigail to say damn?"

I gasped, turned around and asked Abigail if she'd said a bad word today. Took a little bit of digging, but sure 'nuf, she'd come up to Katrina's little sister and said "damn thing broke" about a toy at their house.

So I told her to say dang instead, and not to say damn anymore. at all. no matter what. She said "ok!"

She was quiet for a little bit then let out this little chuckle.

"What are you laughing about Abigail?"

"I just said that bad word really quiet so you couldn't hear it!"
